I always visit Whittakers when I am in Manchester for an event and have yet to be disappointed by the food or service. I always get the same meal (nuggets and chips) and as a person who is VERY fussy about her chips, I pretty much empty my plate every time. From my experience the staff are always very friendly and smiley. I am greeted as I arrive and told to have a lovely day as I leave. They give me time to look at the menu and then come over and happily take my order. I have never felt unhappy about my experience. Great food, lovely staff and a nice atmosphere. I recommend this place to all my friends when they go to Manchester.

I absolutely love that I can finally get gluten free chippy when I fancy it. And not just fish & chips. They have gluten free pies etc. The staff are always friendly and the service is spot on. I've even rang ahead when I was in a rush. I've never eaten in the cafe side, but I've seen a lot of customers use it. If you are ever fancy a chippy day, take a visit to Whittakers, you won't regret it 😉

A quaint and homely atmosphere suitably themed by the decor. Service is exceptional very quick. Portions are generous and food of the highest quality. The largest fish on the menu, chips, peas, two slices of bread and butter, coffee or tea with a free refill is £12 (AKA the Neptune Meal). Unbeatable.
